Stressful State Vs Creative State

“When we live by the hormones of stress and all of the energy goes to these hormonal centers and away from the heart, the heart gets starved of energy.” – Joe Dispenza

We all live in different states during the day or week or month or sometimes even year. However, there are two opposite emotional or mental states which are both powerful on their own. One is positive and lifeward, the other is negative and destructive in nature. Most of us oscillate between the two and most of the time are in the middle, hence are “normal” or average. Those two powerful states are the creative state and the stressful state.

When our basic needs like food, shelter, clothing etc are not fulfilled, we become stressed. In such a situation, our natural reaction to life is that which comes from stress. Then we need to compete with other humans for food, shelter etc. But when our human needs are met, we become kinder and are in a position to understand others. In normal situations, I believe there is no need to compete (stressful state) in any field whatsoever.  Also, when we compete it means we are focussing on others (outside-in). Yes, we need to be aware of the environment in our field so that you can compare how we are doing. We need to take it as a lesson of why we are not doing well enough.

We need to focus on ourselves. Are you better than you were before? If yes, be proud of what you have accomplished. Try to find out by how much you have achieved and also how much more you can achieve in your field to be among the best. You will know by the demand for your product or services that you are rendering whether you are the best or not.

We need set standards for ourselves. But competing means you are thinking “they are doing like that, then I’ll do like this”. That is focussing on the present reality which is old news you are not creating anything by reading old news. The best you can get from reading old news(current reality) is knowing what things are happening and how. From there you can get inspiration or idea to create something new and interesting or something valuable to the world. Like finding a solution or innovation or a product that will bring ease and reduce time.

When you compete, you are doing so without knowing the competition’s values and priorities at all and what else, it never ends. Just try to be better than you were yesterday and keep learning from the best in the field and try to know what works. Then apply. Imagine if you compete while driving on public roads, where will that lead? of course a heated argument or a fatal accident. Even if you survive and there is no accident, deep inside you won’t feel good, why? Because there is no real inner growth when you compete.

It’s just natural to not compete because when you do, you would be acting from a survival state which is stressful and ultimately leads to deterioration and disease and even death. The creative state, is the normal state. And life as a journey can be compared with the journey on the road. Remember you don’t have to prove anything to anyone, ever. You have only yourself to satisfy and be content with because what matters most at the end of the day or at the sunset of your life is your conscience.

By realising, this, we can become more aware of ours as well as others’ state at any given moment. We all have heard old persons saying in stressful situations, “no problem,” or “take it easy”, “it is all right”. It is because old persons have seen a lot and they have come to understand this principle in deep. It has gone into their subconscious mind. Maybe some can express it or some may not, but old persons seem the least bothered by accidents or stress. They know where stress will take them, so they do the opposite of stress, they try to calm themselves and others down. They bring others to a normal state so that, from that normal state, can come creative solutions and sometimes life-saving decisions.
